油絵画家である加茂昂を、２代目転校生として迎えました。2018年に引き続き、校舎一階部分にある校⻑室の隣の教室に仕事場を構えました。ここは、地域の方が集まり、給食をとる場でもある多目的スペースとも隣接しているため、必然的に様々な立場の人の交流が生まれる学校のリビングルーム的な空間でもあります。滞在期間中に制作した作品「富岡に灯る桜」は、校舎内にある階段の踊り場に常設展示されています。そして転校生期間中、富岡町文化交流センター学びの森にて「加茂昴絵画展 富岡町とその光景の肖像」が開催するなど、転校生としてより多くの地元の方々との繋がりの機会をつくりました。
Akira Kamo, an oil painter, as our second transfer student set up his workspace in a classroom next to the school principal's office on the first floor of the school building, a space that is also adjacent to the multi-purpose space where local residents gather. The work he created during the residency, "Cherry Blossoms Lit in Tomioka," is permanently displayed in the school building, where students walk by every day. During his stay, he also held an exhibition of his works, "Akira Kamo's works: Portraits of Tomioka town and its Scenery" at the Tomioka Town Art and Media Center, creating an opportunity for him to engage with more local people.

1982年東京生まれ。東京芸術大学美術研究科絵画専攻修了。3.11後、「絵画」と「生き延びる」ことを同義に捉え、心象と事象を織り交ぜながら「私」と「社会」が相対的に立ち現われるような絵画作品を制作する。主な展覧会は、「境界線を吹き抜ける風」LOKO gallery(東京/2019)、 「追体験の光景」原爆の図丸木美術館(埼玉/2018)、「星座を想像するようにー過去、現在、未来」東京都美術館(東京/2019)「その光景の肖像」つなぎ美術館(熊本/2017)、「風景と肖像のあいだ」island JAPAN(東京/2017)、「追体験の絵画」広島芸術センター(広島/2017)、「土に死を生ける」 橘画廊(東京/2016)、「対馬アートファンタジア2016」(⻑崎/2016)、「航行と軌跡」国際芸術センター⻘森(⻘森/2015)、「VOCA展2015」上野の森美術館(東京/2015)、「Wall Art Festival 2014」アシュラムスクール(インド/2014)、「醤油倉庫レジデンスプロジェクト春会期」瀬戶内国際芸術祭2013・小豆島醤油倉庫(香川/2013)、「【絵画】と【生き延びる】」island MEDIUM(東京/ 2012)、など。
Born in Tokyo in 1982. M.F.A. in Painting from Tokyo National University of the Arts. After the 3.11 disaster, Kamo began to think of "paintings" as a means to "survive," and started to create paintings in which "I" and "society" appear relatively by intertwining mental images and events.
