転校生３代目となる音楽家・大友良英は、地域の方々やこの活動に関心のある人々を巻き込みながら、子どもたちと「音楽部」のような場づくりを考えていました。しかし、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大により活動が大幅に制限され、結果当初予定していたプランを実現することができませんでした。そんな中、富岡第一小学校・第二小学校、富岡第一中学校・第二中学校がそれぞれ統合され、2022年4月より新しく富岡小学校・富岡中学校となることが発表されました。発表を知った児童の一人から「新しい校歌は大友くんに作ってもらうのはどうか？」という声が上がったことから、校歌を制作するプロジェクトが発足。大友さんだけでなく、在校している児童生徒やそれぞれの学校の卒業生らとのワークショップや意見交換会を重ね、最終的に小学校・中学校それぞれの校歌が完成しました。 また、2022年5月には大友良英スペシャルビッグバンドが富岡町に訪れ、児童生徒らと共に完成した校歌などを演奏するコンサートが開催されました。完成した校歌はこれから先、長く富岡町で歌い継がれていきます。
Musician Otomo Yoshihide, a third generation transfer student, was planning to involve local residents and others interested in this activity and create a "music club" type of place with children. However, the spread of the coronavirus severely restricted these activities, and, as a result, the original plan could not be fulfilled. At the same time, it was announced that the Tomioka First and Second Elementary Schools and the Tomioka First and Second Junior High Schools would each be merged into a new Tomioka Elementary School and Tomioka Junior High School from April 2022. Due to one of the students asking, "How about we have Otomo-kun write the new school song?" after finding out about this announcement, a project to create the new school song began. After a series of workshops and an exchange of opinions not only with Mr. Otomo but also with the current students and alumni of each school, the school songs for both the elementary and junior high schools were finally completed. Moreover, in May 2022, ‘Otomo Yoshihide Special Big Band’ visited Tomioka and held a concert in which they performed the completed school songs together with the students. The completed school songs will be sung in Tomioka for a long time to come.

プロフィール / Biography
1959年生まれ。映画やテレビの音楽を山のように作りつつ、ノイズや即興の現場がホームの音楽家、ギターリスト、ターンテーブル奏者。 活動は日本のみならず欧米、アジアと多方面にわたる。美術と音楽の中間領域のような展示作品や一般参加のプロジェクトやプロディースワークも多数。震災後は故郷の福島でプロジェクト FUKUSHIMA!を立ち上げ、現在に至るまで様々な活動を継続中。2013 年 「あまちゃん」の音楽でレコード大賞作曲賞を受賞。2014 年よりアンサンブルズ・アジアのディレクターとしてアジア各国の音楽家のネット ワークづくりに奔走。2017 年札幌国際芸術祭の芸術監督。2019 年 NHK 大河ドラマ「いだてん」の音楽を担当。また福島市を代表する夏祭り「わらじまつり」改革のディレクターも務めた。オフィシャルサイト
Born in 1959. Musician, guitarist, and turntablist whose base is noise and improvisation, while making tons of music for films and television. His activities span not only Japan but also Europe, America, and Asia. He created numerous works that stood between art and music and took part in some public projects, as well as producing works for others. After the earthquake, he launched Project FUKUSHIMA! which is also his hometown, and has continued to work on various projects since. In 2013, he won Best Composer Award at The Japan Record Awards for his work on Amachan (A popular Japanese television drama series on NHK.) In 2017, he was the art director of the Sapporo International Arts Festival, and in 2019, he led music for NHK's historical drama Idaten. He also served as the director for the project to reform the Waraji Festival, one of the most popular summer festivals in Fukushima City. Official Website
